Science Council and Member Bodies's events for the month
This annual event brings policy makers and members of the science community together.
The Royal Meteorological Society would like to remind you that the Call for Abstracts for its Biennial Conference, from 27 to 30 June 2011, University of Exeter, UK will now close on the 13 May 2011. Further information on the call, registration and the conference programme can be found on the Society’s website
The conference will form part of the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of UK’s first public weather forecast and the publication of the History of the Met Office. There will be oral and poster presentations and workshop sessions. This call is encouraging abstract submissions in all three of these areas. There will also be invited international speakers who will give keynote addresses on the global development of weather forecasting and climate prediction.
When submitting an abstract it will be possible to identify if this is for oral presentation, poster presentation or a proposal for a workshop sessions. Please follow this link to the Society's 2011 conference details and programme, abstract submission and registration facilities.
